Adopted*** Frankie ***Adopted
Frankie
has gone to a home with three other dogs and a new baby. Apparently he has
become "Mom's " dog and doesn't want Dad around. Fortunately, Dad isn’t taking it
personally. Here he is snuggled in
with mom and baby.

Frankie is a Chihuahua mix weighing about 10 lbs. He
is neutered, and up to date on all of his shots. He is healthy and very
well behaved. We think Frankie is housebroken, but will know more soon. He
also came from Wichita.

Adopted*** Pearl ***Adopted
"Dad"
and picked up Pearl
today while Mom and the twins waited at home preparing for her
arrival. Pearl’s new family is the answer to our prayers
- a wonderful family who has had Pugs before and not worried about her
dental issues. They take this all in
stride having rescued Pugs in the past and nursed one through cancer and
another through leg problems. Pearl
went off, Christmas collar sparkling, with a smile on her face wagging her
tail all the way. This is one
precious dog who deserves a Merry Christmas and she is sure going to have
one!!!

Pearl is a five year old, female,
purebred Pug. She is spayed, potty trained, and gets along great with kids
and other animals. Pearl is up to date on shots and has been
microchipped. Pearl has been bounced around from
home to home and needs a place to settle permanently. Are you the
right home for this precious dog?

Adopted*** Princess ***Adopted
Princess
has a wonderful Christmas present.... a new home and a little girl to
love her! Princess is now Niebla
(snow in Spanish) and even has a Santa suit...she is going to be one little
spoiled pup! We are so happy to have
found her a home so soon.

This precious little dog came to
SCARS from Wichita.
We’ve named her Princess. She was
found as a stray and is absolutely adorable, loving and sweet. She will be
fully vetted in one week and is already totally socialized. Princess loves people and other dogs. She
is extremely gentle and quiet. She
appears to be some sort of Chihuahua
mix and weighs about 5 lbs.

Adopted*** Buddy ***Adopted
Buddy
now has a brother who looks a lot like him and two parents to spoil both of
them. When the family called looking for a playmate for their dog, they
wanted a young, housebroken dog who was mostly black. I knew Buddy would be
the perfect fit and he is. It is so great to know he is settled and safe
for the holidays!
Buddy is a two year old,
male, 45 – 50 lb.Husky/Rottweiler mix.
He is neutered, housebroken and up to date on shots. Buddy is a very loving family dog who
gets along well with other dogs, but probably should not be around
cats. He has been to doggy day care
and loves to go on walks and runs outside.
He is such a handsome boy.

Adopted*** Sam ***Adopted
Sam
is safely tucked in with his new family, as you can see. And that cute Australian
Shepherd on the sofa?? That is none other than Abby, adopted from SCARS in
January!! We just love happy endings
like this...don’t they all look like the perfect family?

Sam is a wonderful, male,
purebred, blonde, Labrador Retriever.
He is 6 years old, housebroken, and good with kids
and other dogs. Sam's owner has had to move to an apartment and cannot keep
him any longer. Sam weighs about 83
lbs and is up to date on his shots. He is waiting patiently for a new
forever home.

Buster
(Avenger) has been reunited with his family!

It is so wonderful to reunite a
dog with a family who misses them, but it doesn't happen very often. After
3 months, Buster’s family had given up.
One day his grandmother was surfing the Internet and happened to
come across the SCARS website...and there was their dog, Avenger. They called us and I drove him to his
home decorated with blinking Christmas lights and music playing on outdoor
speakers. What a great Christmas present for Buster...to go home to the
family he surely missed. As you can
see, he is surrounded by his family and is safely home.

This precious little guy is about
2 years old. He seems to be a
Basset, Corgi mix. He was found wandering down the road near our house and
we can’t find his owner. He is so
friendly, loving and gentle ... he will make some family a wonderful pet.
Buster hasn’t quite got the hang of being housebroken yet, but we are
working on it. He will be neutered
next week and get all of his shots.

Adopted*** Grace ***Adopted
Grace has been adopted to a
neighbor of SCARS. She has the run of 100 acres and a pond. She has a
canine sister to play with and is both an inside and outside dog. Grace was a tough dog to control and
congratulations to the family who hung in there with her...she is one lucky
girl!
Grace is a 2 year old spayed
female, up to date on all her shots and heartworm negative. She is just sweet as pie. We know
she is part black Lab but unsure what else might be in there. We do
know that
she is full of life and loves every minute of it. Grace gets along
well with other dogs and is responding very well to us when asked to do
most anything. She was with us about four hours when she went running
off leash with her foster brother and her sisters in the meadow by our
house. She found a ball and returned to us when called. Grace
does not mind a crate and jumps right in the truck when asked. We are still checking her housebreaking
and will report back when we are sure.

Adopted*** Wanda ***Adopted
Wanda has gone home to
her new forever family. She laid in
the back seat of the car on the way home with her head on the lap of her
new boy friend. She is having a great time, even though the cats
aren't very happy. Wanda just ignores them unless they swat at her,
and even then she just barks. They will all get used to each other
eventually. Everyone is very happy and will have a great Christmas!

Adopted*** Annie ***Adopted
Annie
is now tucked in with her new family and has a canine brother named
Rowdy. Actually, he is a laid back
sweetie pie who will be a perfect fit for Annie. She has two parents to take the two
of them on walks to the pond and on lots of fun trips. When I left she had claimed the easy
chair for her own and looked perfectly happy in her new digs. She has come
a long way from being left in a snow storm at a cemetery.
Annie
is a spayed, housebroken, 2 year old, female Shepherd mix. She weighs about
40 lbs and is gentle and loving. Annie has no bad habits...she really is a
wonderful dog. She was one of two pups abandoned last winter next to a
gravestone in a cemetery in a snow storm. The fact that anyone found her
was a miracle. The incredible thing is that she was next to the gravestone
of a woman who had adopted from SCARS before she died.
