Adopted*** Ben ***Adopted

Ben came to us when he was found running in downtown
Topeka...lost and scared. Our neighbor
brought him to SCARS and advertised but no one claimed him. Ben became everyone's favorite and he
truly lived up to his name....Gentle Ben.
Our doggie employee fell in love with him and she and her partner
formally adopted Ben and off he went.
He comes back everyday with her and she
says when he gets his collar on he knows he is going to work!!

If ever there was a perfect dog, it is Ben. He is a 2 year old, male,
Boxer/ American Bulldog mix. He is
neutered, housebroken and up to date on shots, weighing about 50 lbs. We named him gentle Ben because that’s
what he is. Ben's job is to be perfect.....he never has an accident, never
chews, never growls, never barks and basically just sits around wagging his
tail and being pleasant. Oh, that we
humans could be so good. He loves
kids and will follow them around for hours.
He also loves jumping in cars and trucks and going for rides. Ben needs to go to a family who will
cherish him for the wonderful companion he is.

Adopted*** Yorkie/Maltese
Pups ***Adopted

We only received
two pictures out of four of our adoptions on the Yorkie/Maltese mix pups
whose owner passed away. We hear all
are doing great and are wonderful pets. These four boys really needed homes
and one by one, all were adopted to wonderful
homes!!

These adorable pups are 1-2 year old, male, Yorkie/Maltese mix. Their owner is very ill and no longer
able to care for them. They are very
shy and scared right now but are neutered, up to date on shots, and weigh
around 8 lbs each. They need a loving home where
they can snuggle on someone's lap until they feel safe again. These boys are not totally housebroken
but are very smart and with a little work, will get their act together
fast.

Adopted*** JD ***Adopted

When JD was found, he was tied to a tree with no food and water
in over 100 degree heat. All attempts to find his owner failed, so
he came to SCARS. In time we grew to
love him and decided he was going to make some lucky person the perfect
pet. He is a loving and gentle dog
but has tremendous energy. JD never
missed a beat racing around our 50 acres on the John Deere Gator. Along came a wonderful couple who fishes
(JD loves to swim) and exercises daily.
They live across from a park and were looking for a dog just like
JD. All reports are he is happy and
healthy and being spoiled rotten!! He is now answering to the name Remy.

JD is a male, Boxer/Mastiff mix who is 15 month old and weighs 50
lbs. He is neutered, up to date on
shots and housebroken. JD was a
stray who was never claimed. He gets
along well with other dogs and loves kids.
He is quiet and well behaved in the house but will be a good
watchdog. Other than having soulful
eyes, a beautiful shiny striped coat and a great personality,
that is about it for this guy!!!
