Adopted*** Yoshi (now known as Ali) ***Adopted
Yoshi,
aka, Ali, has settled nicely into her new home. She has a one year old
human sister who loves her and two parents to take care of her. Yoshi is

according to them, has permanently claimed the sofa!!

Yoshi is a 30 pound, 2 year old,
female, black Lab/Shar-pei mix. She
is spayed, housebroken, up to date on her shots, and heartworm free. She
loves everybody and gets along great with kids and other dogs. Yoshi’s owner

Adopted*** Lulu ***Adopted

Lulu
has gone to a home with kids and birds and will be an inside dog with lots
of company all of the time. She is close by to her original family so they can
have visitation rights!
Lulu
is a three year old, female, French Bulldog mix. She is brindle with
the white markings of a Boston Terrier. She is quite active, spayed,
current on all shots, microchipped, has been through basic obedience class (sits,
lies down, rolls over), and is completely housebroken. Lulu could not
be an outdoor dog. Her breed limitations don’t allow for walks in the
summer longer than about ten minutes (prone to overheating). She is a
bit rough in that she will come running at you and jump up on your
legs. So, she wouldn’t be a good match for an older person (might
knock them down). Lulu is happy, so long as she has something to
chew. The only toys that she doesn’t completely destroy and that are
safe for her are the nylabone chews. She loves belly rubs and sitting
up (like a person) watching TV. Her
owners have to move, due to financial issues, to a place that doesn’t
accept pets. They are hearbroken,
but must do this, and really want good, new owners that will spoil Lulu and
keep her happy.

Adopted*** Jake ***Adopted

Jake is off to his new home in
the country!! He has another dog his
age to play with and lots of room to run ... the agreement is that he can also
sleep in bed with his new owners ... yippee! He thought that was a great idea. We are very happy for Jake and since he
is not far away, his old owners get visitation rights.

Jake is a male, one year old,
purebred Black Labrador Retriever.
He is neutered, housebroken, and up to date on shots. He gets along great with other dogs and
little kids. Jake's dad had to go to Iraq and his mom is just too
busy with two kids and a house and feels he needs more attention. He weighs
about 80 lbs and is truly a great dog!!

Adopted*** Kiki ***Adopted

Kiki has now gone to her new home
in Joplin, MO where she will be very spoiled! Kiki was found wandering on a dirt road
and in poor condition. She was found, picked up and brought to SCARS. Now she is safe, loved and healthy and
has a big human family to spoil her.
Kiki broke the record on the number of adoption applications we
received so she is one special pup.

Kiki is a female, 12 week
old, four lb., purebred American Eskimo. She was found wandering down
a dirt road and the kind person who stopped for her thought she was a
cat. No owner was found and Kiki is
now ready for her new home. She has
been given her shots and treated for worms. Kiki is to be an inside dog and
needs a loving family who will take care of her.

Adopted*** Black Lab Pups ***Adopted

Eli (male lab) has gone to Chicago to old friends
of SCARS who adopted a black lab from us several years ago. After losing their beloved lab, they
decided to rescue another little soul in need. The news from the front is good! He is doing great with his brother, Kota, and learning all
sorts of new things. He takes walks
with mom and seems to be getting along just great!

Cassie, the female lab, is off to
her new home also. She has a boxer for a brother, two little girls to love
her and parents who will take care of her.
Her mom stays at home so she won’t be lonely and she has a nice
fenced yard to play in. We will miss these two little guys!!
------
 These
two, cute little 8 week old Lab mix pups are new additions to the dogs here
at SCARS. Their mother is a
purebred Shorthaired Pointer and dad is a purebred Black Lab. They have had
their first shots, and, as you can see are very healthy and inquisitive.

Adopted*** Stella (now known as Annie) ***Adopted

Remember poor little Stella who
was abandoned in the country and found her way to SCARS? Lots of kind people worked to find her
just the right home where she would be safe and not afraid anymore. Well, she has found her forever
home. Stella is now Annie and has a
sister dog to play with – they share toys and beds and get along really
well. Her person dad is with them
most of the time and he says they are one big happy family. Thanks to all who helped this little
gal. Don’t you love her precious
face?
-------

Stella is a female, 2 year old,
Australian Shepherd of about 25 lbs. She was dumped in the
country and will soon be spayed and brought up to date on her shots. Stella is very gentle and shy...she is
just learning to trust people. She
has no aggression at all and seems to get along great with everyone young,
furry or not. Stella needs a quiet
loving home to give her the attention she deserves.

Adopted*** Joey ***Adopted

Joey Boxer has gone to a
wonderful home in the country and, as you can see, has a sister who looks
like his double. They get along great, get to be inside lounging around and
outside to play whenever they want. When his new owner saw his picture, she
knew he was the one for her!!

Joey Boxer is a male, one and a
half year old, registered Boxer. He
is housebroken, neutered and up to date on his shots. Joey’s owner is in
the Marines and being sent oversees. Joe is a really fabulous dog and needs
a home very soon. Can you help out
this serviceman and give this handsome guy a new home?

_____
Adopted*** Baxter ***Adopted

Baxter's new family drove all the
way from Wichita
to pick him up and take him home.
Surely the stars were aligned perfectly for this match. They had
lost a Shar-Pei/Lab mix to cancer awhile back and when they saw Baxter,
they knew he was perfect for them!
He jumped in their Volkswagen with him and Dad in back and Mom
driving. Baxter is going home to a
big yard, kids and grandkids, and lots of love and attention!!!

Baxter is about 3 years old, neutered, and up to date on
shots. He is clearly part Shar-Pei, but we are unsure about the rest of his
heritage. Baxter gets along well
with other dogs and has a super friendly personality. Baxter was not being taken care of and
really deserves a chance at a better life.

Adopted*** Betsy (now known as Piper) ***Adopted

Betsy is now called Piper and has
settled in nicely in her new home. Piper was dumped on the side of the road
and found by a friend of SCARS and brought here. She ended up being adopted by a friend of
SCARS who loves her and she and her husband are spoiling her rotten. They were thrilled to find out she is
housebroken and leash trained. Who would ever throw out such a precious
dog???

Betsy is a young, female, Beagle
who was dumped on the side of the road in the country. She will be spayed
and brought up to date on shots in the next few days. Betsy is very gentle
and sweet, but scared. She will make someone a wonderful companion. We will
continue to learn about her disposition as we get to know her better.
