Adopted*** Moe,
Larry, and Curley ***Adopted
Every
Sunday a great bunch of high school kids come to volunteer at SCARS. Two of them fell in love with the pug
pups and badgered their parents until they gave in (yippee!!) They are now settled in the two homes and
live so close to each other that the two brothers get play days
together! They also each have a new
doggie friend at home too. The great
news is we get to see them again and hear all about their new life!
Here
are some fun family photos.
  ----------------
These
three little boys are ten weeks old, neutered, and are up to date on
shots. Their mom is a purebred pug
and dad a medium sized setter so they will probably not be too big. They are gentle and sweet and seem to
have quiet dispositions. They get
along well with other dogs and all kids. We will keep the website updated
on their progress!
They have all been adopted. Check back to our Success Stories page
for details.

Adopted*** Chase ***Adopted
Who
would have thought our little two and a half legged Chase would be
adopted?? Well, he has and to a
great family - and, of course, one of Maureen's former dog loving
students. Jessica's mom called and said the only thing she wanted for her
18th birthday was Chase! He is now going on walks, visits PetsMart and has
a poodle for a buddy. Jessica volunteers at SCARS so we get to have an
update on him constantly!
Former
sponsored dog, Chase

Chase – only has use of 2 ½ legs, but
gets around well

Adopted*** McCaffery ***Adopted

McCaffrey has gone to a great
home with another Doxie who looks just like her! We had her at the PetsMart adoption
weekend with her brother , Boom Boom. However, it was the website that got
her new home and she is working out great! We still need a home for her
brother Boom Boom!

BoomBoom (right) is a 3 year old,
male, Chihuahua. He is neutered, weighs 15 lbs, and is
housebroken. McCaffrey is his buddy
and she is a 6 year old, female, dapple Dachshund also weighing about 15
lbs. She is spayed and housebroken, as well. Unfortunately, their owner has some
health issues which is making it difficult for her to keep them. They are both cuddly dogs with no
problems that would make them hard to adopt!

Adopted*** Bebe ***Adopted
Bebe never made to the
“Adopt Me” page before she was adopted.
Here is and update from her new owners:
“Thanks again so much for your
efforts to bring Bebe (her new name) to her new home. She is a
sweetheart, already comes to her name, and has settled in.
Our 2 year old grand daughter named her and that was that. She is
very mellow, already poops and pees outside, and is just thrilled with
being outside on our 15 acre farm. She and Auggie, our yellow lab are
already fast friends and pretty much play non-stop. Thanks again for
everything and we are thrilled with our new girl. I'll send pics
along as we take them. We also scheduled her to be spayed so that
will be done next week. Keep us in the loop about SCARS and keep up
the great work.”

_____
Adopted*** Bernie ***Adopted

Bernie is now settled happily in
his new home with his boxer sibling, Kenya. Bernie has a rough start but some friends
of SCARS helped us find him the perfect home. He wrestles with Kenya and gets to be an inside
dog (his preference) and after having been left outside in terrible weather
24X7 he has hit the jackpot! Here he
is snuggling with his new dad!

This purebred brindle boxer is 3
years old, neutered and housebroken. He is up to date on shots and weighs
about 50 lbs. Bernie gets along well
with dogs and people and tends to be quiet and a bit shy. He was found wandering down a dirt road
near Wichita
and brought here by visiting neighbors who did not want to take him to the
local pound.

Adopted*** Rose ***Adopted
Rose
is a tiny Chihuahua
who needed a home badly. When SCARS found out about her, I knew immediately
who to call. One of our favorite
foster families was looking for a companion for the former SCARS dog they
adopted named Jose. Rose and Jose
are now best buddies and Rose is getting fatter ... she needed to gain
weight. Their family is growing by
leaps and bounds thanks to all of our great dogs!!
