Adopted*** Coco and friends ***Adopted

The last of the cocker pups was
adopted today! Coco
is now at his new home with a retired owner who can devote tons of time to him.
His owner has been looking for the perfect dog and feels he has found
him. They can be good buddies and go
to the park together ... we are really happy this beautiful little guy
is safe and sound in his new "digs".

This was the only female and she
went first, leaving her two brothers behind. Now she is living a spoiled
life with a female chocolate Lab as a sister and lots of humans to take
care of her.
These
gorgeous little cocker spaniels are 8 weeks old and both parents are
purebreds. Aren’t they a gorgeous
color? There are two left for
adoption and both are males. They
have had their first worming and are in great health and playful. We don't often get such beautiful puppies
but as you can see, these are knockouts!

___
Adopted*** Shiba Inus ***Adopted
This
is the last of the Shiba adoptions ... all have gone to great homes. The last one is going to a retired couple
who lost their dog a year ago and are just now ready. They love her and are so excited to have
a dog again!

Fang (right) has gone to his new
home with a brother who is also a Shiba named Oliver. He will have some kids to play with ...
the whole family loves Shibas and have always had one!!
SCARS
received six purebred Shiba Inus ranging in ages from 8 months to 2
years. There are three
females and three males. They
are all neutered and up to date on shots.
These 12-15 lb dogs make wonderful companions and are lively but not
hyperactive. They are well
socialized, ‘inside’ dogs and get along well with others. There are two tri-color females, one
orange female, and three orange males.
Shiba Inus are Japanese dogs originally imported from China
and are very beautiful.

Adopted*** Homey ***Adopted

When we first got Honey, she was
a mess. She had been dumped in a Wichita shelter,
skinny and sick. We fixed her all up
and adopted her to a woman who decided she was not ready to commit to a
dog. Poor Honey was homeless again!
She was hanging out at SCARS and one of our staff decided he wanted
to take her home and now they are inseparable. She goes everywhere with him and follows
him like a little puppy. She gets to
come visit here every day, but goes home with her new owner and sleeps in
his bed and watches TV. Honey is
finally home.
Honey
is a 2 year old, purebred deer legged Chihuahua...she weighs about 12-14 lbs,
is housebroken, spayed, and up to date on shots. Like many Chihuahuas she is nervous around people
at first and if you move too fast, she will be snippy. She needs someone
who is willing to work with her and give her time and not expect miracles
immediately. Once she is happy and feels safe, she will be a wonderful
companion. She was dumped at a
shelter in Wichita
after having a litter and was skinny and sick. Honey is now strong and
healthy and ready for her new home!!

Adopted*** Zena ***Adopted
Finally
- Zena is in her new home!! We
really thought her luck had run out.
Her owner had moved to the nursing home and he was only able to visit
her once or twice a day to feed her.
We are bursting at the seams and madly trying to find a safe place
for her ... then an application showed up and they said that she was the
dog for them. Zena was adopted the
same day.
Hurray!!!!!

This 5 year old, female, Sollie mix need a new home
ASAP. Her owner is being moved into
an assisted living home that doesn't allow dogs, and she is being
threatened with euthanasia. She is
housetrained, spayed, up to date on shots, and good with kids and other
dogs. Zena weighs about 50 lbs. Wouldn't she make the perfect pet for
you?

___
Adopted*** Shiba Inus ***Adopted
Marie,
the tricolor momma dog, and her baby, Rathina (orange) went off to their
new home tonight!! This is a family who
has suffered at the hands of unfair laws ... they lost their beloved boxer
who was dubbed "pit bull" by some random law, void of proof, and
had to have her put to sleep. Their
second dog is no longer allowed in the city in case it has a drop of pit in
it. So now, she has two adorable
inside dogs that will get the love they crave. They have neighbors and grandkids to play
with and a big fenced yard. We are happy for these two gals!!

___
Adopted*** Oliver ***Adopted
(now known as Mickey)

Oliver is the second Shiba Inu to
get adopted! His new parents checked
him out very carefully before making a decision. They made two trips here, sat in the
grass and played with all the Shibas for hours. The initial plan was to adopt a cocker
spaniel but after meeting these beautiful little guys, they decided to try
one out. Oliver seemed to win their
hearts, although a little tri-color gal was a close contender. Oliver is now known as Mickey and we know
he has a great family.
___
Adopted*** Chester ***Adopted
Chester
was the fist Shiba to be adopted and his adorable personality sure helped!!
He is working out great and his
family has experience with Shibas so they knew just what to expect. We really appreciate them checking in from
time to time and letting us know how they are doing. We especially loved the picture of them together
in the shopping cart at Petsmart!!
SCARS received six purebred Shiba
Inus ranging in ages from 8 months to 2 years. There are three females and three
males. They are all neutered and up
to date on shots. These 12-15 lb dogs
make wonderful companions and are lively but not hyperactive. They are well socialized, ‘inside’ dogs
and get along well with others.
There are two tri-color females, one orange female, and three orange
males. Shiba Inus are Japanese dogs

Adopted*** Freckles ***Adopted
(now known as Lily)
Freckles
(now known as Lily) has gone to her new home and all is well. The kids love her and she has a big
sister who is a chocolate Cocker Spaniel!!
She has a yard and her own family now, and has come a long way from
being left on the street in the middle of the night, covered in fleas. We
are so happy for her!!

Freckles is a purebred, female, 5
month old, white and tan Cocker Spaniel.
She was found sitting on a curb in the middle of the night and
picked up by a policeman. She has had her shots and will be spayed
soon. Freckles found her way to
SCARS and is one lively little dog.
She is incredibly sweet and silky and is going to be a fabulous
pet!!

___
Adopted*** Bullet ***Adopted

Well, Bullet has hit the jackpot.
He has a brother who looks a lot
like him ... they are even the same age and size. He has a huge yard and his owner comes
home at lunch to take care of his two "boys" and exercise
them. Bullet had a rough start, very
little food, no exercise, no care. Now
he has filled out and has a beautiful coat and a whole new life. Doesn't a
picture say a thousand words?

Bullet
is a beautiful purebred German Shepherd male of between 4-5 months old. He
is up to date on shots and will be neutered as soon as the vet decides he
is ready. Bullet possesses a gentle yet playful disposition, loves all
other dogs, is well behaved and an all around wonderful dog. Call us if you are interested – he will
probably be adopted quickly!
